The theme of this year’s festival, gitaneando, translates roughly into English as “being gypsy.” Yaelisa, the Festival’s artistic director, is currently in discussion with several of Spain’s finest gypsy artists to bring flamenco’s gitano essence to the New World Flamenco Festival. The complete artistic lineup won’t be announced until spring, but for our die-hard flamenco fans who can’t wait, we will be offering an early bird Festival Aficionado Packages starting January 2.
